 “Deals in the Dirty Waters” is a haunting short film by Joshua Shaffer that blends supernatural suspense with a glimpse into the darker depths of human nature. Cory Cox of The Genesis Projects provided immersive sound editing that amplifies the film’s eerie atmosphere. Starring Lauren Bromfield, Mike Taylor, and Michael Brodsky, this chilling story beckons viewers to peer beneath the surface—where secrets and consequences await. 

Cory Cox served as the Audio Supervisor and A1 Audio Engineer for Stages St. Louis’s production of “Ragtime,” drawing on his extensive experience from mixing over 32 shows. He oversaw every aspect of the audio process—from live mixing to orchestrations—ensuring each performance captured the musical’s power and emotional depth.
